This is not my area of interest, but the hiring back and forth - hence the musical chairs - and the fevered pairings/takeovers, in my opinion, come out of a sense of desperation that no matter how much money one puts into driverless technology and manufacturing, there will be winners and losers. And no one knows whom that will be.
